And here we go life's ready to begin....

Wow what a week this has been!! So many things have happened, things I didn't think will ever happen! First off I work at this place called Sound Concepts. We are a third party publishing company where I work in the costumer service department. I help people that call in with questions they have and also sell them different marketing tools. Many times during the month we go to Events where we sell marketing tools as well, tools such as books, cds, brochures, etc. Anyways I was sitting at work on Monday and an account manager came in and asked me if I spoke spanish. I told him I do, then he asked me if I wanted to work at an event that is coming up in the beginning of March. I then asked him where it was at and this is the great news, he told me its going to be in...........CANCUN MEXICO!!!

I am going to be there March 6th till the 13th, I am way freakin excitied!! Also I will not have to pay for any airline tickets neither for the hotel. I will be working but I will probaly be done working around 5 each day, plus a couple of the days we will end early so I will be hitting up the beaches and having a good time in Cancun Mexico!

Then on Wed I was driving home from work and I got a call from my good friend Mark Johnson. Me and Mark both love skiing, but his mom has hook ups so Mark usually has really good ski gear that he gets for cheap. I have been skiing on the same boots since High School, and I was in need of new boots. Mark saw my old ones and was keeping an eye open for some new boots for me. It just so happened that the place Marks mom works at got new ski boots that they were giving away so Mark told his mom to take them. Thats when I got the news from Mark that he got me some new ski boots.
They are 2010 Atomic Hawk 90 boots

He brought them down on Friday night so I tried them on and they fit like a glove, a little tight but thats what you want for ski boots.

Last but not least on Friday night I went on a group date with a girl I met in Spanish class. Her name is Carla and shes from Argentina. We met up with my brother, his date, Mark and his date at Nickle City. At Nickle City they have an Arcade Game called Big Bass Wheel. It looks something like this

It takes 8 nickles to play, which is a lot of Nickles to play with. So me and Carla were enjoying our time at Nickle City when I realized we were running low on Nickles so we better try the Big Bass Wheel. We each put in 4 Nickles each and grabbed the handle. When we pulled the handle down I looked at Carla and told her "If we win the 1000 tickets Im going to go nuts!!" Then I saw that we had a chance of winning it. It slowly started to end spinning when I realized its going to be super close, that there is a chance to win. Then it stopped and from my angle I saw that it was only 4 tickets. I looked down at the tickets, waiting to grab 4 tickets but they kept coming out. I looked at Carla and she said "I think we won", so I looked at the screen again and this is what I saw...

I didn't know what to do, so I yelled we won and started calling for Darens name, knowing that Daren would be way happy that we won. I ran around the whole place until I found Daren and Mark the great news. They stopped what they were doing and came over to see for them selves that we won. The tickets were still coming out when they came over.

So this week I learned alot of different lessons. First off that the Lord blessed me greatly with different blessings. And Second the impossible can become possible, you just need to wait for your time to come. Here are some pictures of the rest of our time at Nickle City. Enjoy :)

THANKSGIVING!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

Ok it is a day early but I know I am not going to do it tomorrow so I wanted to make a post to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and talk about what I am grateful for. Sorry if this is a bit cheesy but who cares, Im grateful for sooo many things!!

First off, I am grateful for my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. I have no idea where I would be if I didn't have a relationship with them. I Know they live and they know what is going on in my life. Its amazing how many blessings they give me, some of which I don't deserve, but I know that they love each one of us. A little over a year ago I had the opportunity to give up 2 years of my life to serve them. It was one of the best experiences that I have ever done!! It helped me gain a stronger testimony and also a direction in this life.
Here are some pictures that are from my mission.

Me, my companion, and Xia English. Xia was my first person that I begun teaching and watched her progress, gain a testimony and was baptized. Way awesome person, with an amazing testimony!

La Familia Agustin, me and my trainer Elder Mendoza. My first transfer in the mission we taught this family and they were baptized. A year later I had the opportunity to watch them be sealed as a family in the LA Temple. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. This family is amazing and are strong members in the church.

La familia Bracamontes. They are truly amazing family. I love them so much, especially little Juanito (the kid I am holding). They were a family that the missionaries had been teaching for a while but were not progressing that much. I wasn't actually in the area where they lived but I served in there same ward, so I would go over to there house for lunch every week. They made some HUGE sacrifices and I had the blessing of baptizing the mom, Teresa. It was an awesome experience to be apart of there conversion story. Way cool family!!

The next thing I am grateful for is.....
MI FAMILIA!!!

THE BEST FAMILY A GUY CAN ASK FOR!!!

I don't know how I got so lucky but I did, my family is the best!! They are all great examples to me. Starting from my Pa, who is the man I want to become, to my Mother who will do anything for anyone. She is an amazing lady that I look up to, a person that is very Christlike, she thinks about others before she thinks about herself! My sister and her family are the best! They have set the example of the family I want to raise my family as. My oldest brother scott and his little family are huge examples in my life. Always there to put a smile on my face and to help me out! My next brother Craig is an amazing brother! I look up to him a lot, and he is always willing to do things for me without anything in return! My next brother Daren is one of the funniest kids I have ever met. Always making me laugh and enjoy life. He is a great brother and a Huge example in my life. I love my family and am grateful for them.

There are sooooo many other things that I am grateful for but these two that I have talked about are a huge part of my life. Sorry if this was cheesy, but like I said, who cares its thanksgiving. A time to let people know what you are grateful for huh?

Well, hope you have yourself a HAPPY Thanksgiving!!!

Boy and His Balloon

In my freshman year of high school or somewhere around there my brother Jeff gave me his drum set. Ever since then I have been playing the drums. At the beginning of summer 2010, I decided it was about time for a new drum set so I purchased a one.

When my brother Jeff gave me his drum set, my brother daren and a couple friends of ours started a band called Exit 263. Long story short we were "kicked out" of that band so we started a new band called Beating up Karl. Beating up Karl consisted of Daren on guitar, Kyle on bass, and me on the drums. Well, we all went on missions, and me being the youngest, I got back last. I was looking forward to jamming with the boys again but because of things that happened it was back to just me and daren jamming once again. We started writing new music, with a little different sound to it. We decided to start a new band with a new name because of all that happened. So we came up with the name Boy and His Balloon. Boy and His Balloon consists of Daren on Guitar/keyboard/vocals, Mark Johnson on Spoons/keyboard, Phe Brooks on Tambourine/ back up vocals, Craig as Manager/Crowd dancer, and anyone else who wants to participate via dancing or hitting the cowbell are welcome to come on stage and dance away.

Oh and whenever we play shows there will always be balloons and confetti, makes the shows fun and entertaining.

I hope you have enjoyed the story of Boy and His Balloon, if you want to listen to our music click on the link below or visit Boy and His Balloon on Facebook.

Welcome everyone to the life of the Ry-Dog

Hello who ever is reading this blog. I decided I suck at writing in my journal, I never was and I probably will never be good at it. But I do have a facebook but I thought to myself that fb is not the best place to write down memories or things that happen in my life. I enjoy reading my sisters blogs, even though Jen updates hers once in while, its cool to see whats happening in there lives. So I thought I might as well start a blog, not because I want to but it will be a way for me to write down things that happen in my life. I don't know if anyone will read this but it will be cool later on to go back and view what happened in my life. Anyways, if you are reading this, thank you and I hope you enjoy it! Oh and p.s I suck at english, so this "blog" will not be the best grammer, so don't get mad at me aight?

With Love
